25 contestants will earn the
opportunity to learn from prominent music industry leaders during a Music Biz
101 Symposium in New York City
PLANTATION, Fla. and IRVINE, CA – February 27, 2006 – Have you ever wanted the
chance to sit down and speak with major music executives about what it takes to
achieve your music career goals?
Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) and Boost Mobile® today announced the co-sponsorship
of Music Biz 101, a nationwide competition for college students with musical
aspirations aged 18-26. Music Biz 101 offers “up-and-coming” music moguls the
chance to win an all expense paid trip to New York City to attend the Music Biz
101 Symposium on Wednesday, April 19, 2006. Twenty-five winners will be granted
the opportunity to interact with leaders in the music business representing
talent management and representation, talent law, production, technology,
labels, journalism and more. Winners will also receive a gift bag including the
Motorola Boost Mobile i875 handset, with a built-in MP3 player and multi-media
capabilities.

from February 22, 2006 through March 19, 2006 to register. Each
student must submit a 500-word essay detailing his or her musical aspirations –
whether it’s dreaming of becoming a recording artist or longing to be a music
journalist – by answering a list of questions to qualify for the competition.
Entries will be judged by Motorola and Live Nation executives. The 25 winners
will be notified during the week of March 27.
