BARCELONA, Spain - 3GSM World Congress – 15
February 2006 – Motorola Inc. (NYSE:MOT) announced today the signing of nine
new distribution agreements in Europe and the Middle East for the company’s
MOTOwi4™ Canopy® wireless broadband equipment. The agreements are
expected to enhance the overall market penetration efforts for its wireless
broadband technology.
The comprehensive MOTOwi4 platform of wireless broadband solutions and services
is designed to deliver and extend voice and high-speed data coverage. Key
access networks in the MOTOwi4 portfolio include Canopy, WiMAX, Mesh Solutions
and backhaul.
The new distributors include France’s Sabatier Radio Communications s.a. (www.groupesabatier.com), Italy’s BPG
Radiocomunicazioni S.R.L. (www.bpg.it) and
Aikom Technology, NTPlus AG of Germany (www.ntplus.de),
Sistelec Telecomunicaciones (www.sistelec.es)
and Telcom S.A. (www.telcomsa.es) in
Spain, Scandinavian DataEquipment AS (www.dataequipment.no),
Selecsys BV (www.selecsys.nl) in the
BeNeLux, as well as Minerva FZ (www.minerva-me.com)
in the Middle East. These new distributors join two others that were signed
previously by Motorola: Winncom Technologies Corp. (www.winncom.com), covering Eastern Europe and
other markets, and ACAL IT Ltd. (www.acal.co.uk)
in the UK.
