Motorola provides update on voice and data
solutions that deliver real value to African markets
Livingstone, Zambia – 1 August 2006 – Motorola, Inc. today launched its two day
telecommunications conference, MOTO4AFRICA in Zambia. Motorola will be updating
customers on telecommunications trends and technologies that are relevant to
Sub-Saharan Africa.
Customers from across the African region are in attendance to get first-hand
insights into the latest in Motorola’s network services and products.
MOTO4AFRICA will enable participants to witness Motorola’s end-to-end
capabilities, covering telecommunications networks, end-user devices, home
connectivity, enterprise communications solutions, application voice solutions,
and wireless and wireline broadband technologies.

At the event, Motorola will showcase Motorola Reach, its family of GSM network
solutions aimed at enabling telecoms operators to connect the next billion

a comprehensive solution for bringing telephony services to consumers in
emerging markets.
In addition, Motorola’s wireless broadband solutions, Canopy® and
MOTOMESH, will also be shown as part of its MOTOwi4™ family of wireless
broadband solutions. With implementations in more than 100 countries around the
world, Canopy solutions provide the ideal wireless technology for building,
enhancing or extending advanced broadband networks.
